In addi­ti­on to sel­ec­ted solo and group exhi­bi­ti­ons, the Art Award open call, which has been adver­ti­sed inter­na­tio­nal­ly sin­ce 2010, is an inte­gral part of our pro­gram. The num­e­rous high-qua­li­ty artis­tic pro­po­sals and pro­jects sub­mit­ted testi­fy to the con­ti­nuous “dis­co­very work” of Bau­stel­le Schau­stel­le. The win­ners are sel­ec­ted by a jury of (muse­um) cura­tors, artists and other cul­tu­ral repre­sen­ta­ti­ves and show their work in a solo exhi­bi­ti­on at Bau­stel­le Schau­stel­le Essen. The announce­ment of our Art Award recei­ves a gre­at respon­se from artists and media every year. Artic­les on this were i.a. alre­a­dy published by the Kunst­fo­rum, Pho­to­news and Kuba Paris.
